The Richmond Hill Persian Music and Food Festival took place August 1–3 at Richmond Green Park. The Vaughan edition is a meaningful new installment:

  • It is held at Assembly Park in Vaughan rather than Richmond Green Park.

Where is Assembly Park?

Assembly Park is at 80 Interchange Way, Vaughan, Ontario, in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre area north of Toronto. Some listings use “Concord” in the mailing address; this refers to the same Vaughan location.

For navigation, enter the full street address rather than searching only for “Persian festival.” That reduces the risk of being directed to the earlier Richmond Hill venue or another event with a similar name.

The City of Vaughan encourages transit for large events at Assembly Park because parking in the area can be limited. In its current venue-access guidance, the city recommends:

  • TTC: take Line 1 to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station at 3150 Highway 7.
  • York Region Transit: use the SmartVMC Bus Terminal at 58 Millway Avenue.

Both options place visitors in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre district near Assembly Park. Check the City of Vaughan’s Assembly Park transit and parking guidance and live TTC or YRT service notices before traveling, especially on the holiday Monday.

What drivers should know about parking

The festival page does not promise dedicated free parking. For another major 2026 event at the same venue, the City of Vaughan warned that parking was limited and that nearby private paid lots were available.

The city also listed limited paid short-term spaces on Apple Mill Road, Buttermill Avenue, Bent Tree Drive, New Park Place, Mable Smith Way, Autumn Harvest Way, and Millway Avenue south of Interchange Way. At the time of that notice, the posted rate was $1.25 per 20 minutes, or $3.75 per hour, with a three-hour maximum.

Those rules and prices were published for venue access in July 2026, not as a special guarantee for this festival. Follow current signs and payment instructions when you arrive. Because a festival visit may last longer than three hours, transit or a private paid lot may be simpler than short-term street parking.

When is the best time to arrive?

Arriving before 4:00 p.m. has two practical advantages: the municipal listing says admission is free before that time, and families may find the earlier hours easier for food lines and children’s activities.

Visitors who care most about evening music and atmosphere may prefer later hours, but should expect a busier site and possible admission charges. Without a published performance schedule, there is no verified “best” day for a particular artist.
